Where do I look for the loose wire that I am assuming is the issue?
If there is somewhere else I should look please let me know!

Where do I look for the loose wire
Multitude of places under late model dash for loose connections
I would start by checking the connector plugs on the back of the dash cluster and any ground points you can find

Mine used to do that and took it in to the dealer, they said it was a loose ground wire. It's been great ever since.

I had the same problem with my 85. There is a ground wire located above the negative battery cable connection to the bellhousing. It is located a few inches above that. Look closly to see it. I did not find it until the second run through. Easy fix if that is the problem.

Loose connections are very common. The fact that it does it only when you hit a bump should tell you all you need to know except the exact location.

Reminds me of those older cheap plastic flashlights that would flicker and you would have to bash it a couple times to get it to work! lol

Any luck yet? Keep in mind that the majority of electrical problems are loose or corroded ground connections.
