: Jet Hot header coating?

I'm on their site and it says by coating the headers with their product it can increase power? Anyone use this stuff? I'm getting ready to order headers so this might be good time to get this done so that I don't need to pull the headers out later.

Thanks

Went to the site, stuff looks more like it will just reduce the heat from headers and exhaust?

That red color they have would look great under the hood. I wonder how long the color will last before discoloring? Headers always seem to change color.

I have spoken to this company as I would like to get my headers coated for heat reduction. These guys really know there stuff, the red unfortunately won't hold up to the high heat a lot of headers in high HP cars have. There is something to do with the chemicals that make up the red coating. They do have 3 colors that are part of their Extreme product line that will hold up. I'll keep you posted on this one.

This will maintain exhaust temp inside the system a little long and improve scavenging. It will also reduce under hood temps which will also slightly help hp. However dont expect a shitload. Probably less than 5hp

No Sh#$ I wasn't aware that there would be any gains or reduction in temps from this. I always thought this was more for show than performance results. Hmmm lets see some actual case studies and you have my interest.

When you think about it there are so many products out there and new ones coming out everyday. Companies have their marketing people who do what they are told to, create interest. Many of the marketing people aren't the engineers that designed the parts so therefor you don't get the most accurate information. I see something like this giving minimum HP increase but more reduction in heat? I could be wrong but thats my opinion.
