Its a 1974 350 zero mods pretty much all stock. Would like to add a little more power and open to recommendations. I've read alot about headers being a nice bolt on that will give more muscle sound. Exhaust options? Open door here fella's would like to hear what you have to say.
Thanks

If you arent going to change the cam you should pick stuff designed to make power in the stock range (3-5k rpm). Shorty headers IMO are a waste of time. They perform marginally better than the cast iron manifolds and put heat in the engine bay. Some quality long tube headers with 1 5/8 primaries/2.5 in collector. Dual 2.5 in exhaust with an x pipe or a 3 in y pipe. The edelbrock rpm airgap is a very good bang4buck intake. An MSD 6A box with Blaster II coil, some platinum plugs, MSD distributor cap/rotor or an (MSD probillet distributor). These are some good starter mods. A carburetor refresh and tune will also do wonders. Turned out a lotta lo buck overhauls outta my old mans shop. This was pretty much the general starting point for stockers.

I agree!
Full length headers, true duals with high flow mufflers. A good intake, carb (BG or Holley),MSD ign system, roller tip rockers, and full synth oils through out the engine, trany and rearend. We have seen 5hp gain just from changing all oils from conv to synth.
Depending on how deep you want to go, you could do a cam swap or a nice set of aftermarket heads. The Big Power is made in the heads.
