My valve covers are leaking a little oil so its time to replace the gaskets. Are there any tricks I should know about? Its a 350 motor in a 1974 C3.
Whats a good set of gaskets for this replacement?

No real trick there however I would recomend using felpro gaskets, there the best.

Use the full rubber V-cover gaskets from felpro. They seal and stay that way. Cork just plain sucks. If you are running steel valve covers, make sure you hammer the bolt holes on the covers back flat. If you don't do this, you will have leaks real soon. Making the bolt holes flat will allow the cover to distribute pressure evenly to seal. What seals better, this ^---^ or this ____.
Have fun.
