Any recommendations? No nav or anything fancy. CD player will be nice to have. How difficult are these to install? I will have my dash apart shortly checking wire damage from some rodents so this would be a good time to install a new radio. Might as well replace the speakers also. So any tips would be appreciated.

go to metraonline.com and look for the necessary accessories. When you replace a factory radio, you typically need
a. dash trim kit
b. antenna adapter
c. wire harness
Newer cars with factory amps are a little different, but I wouldn't expect a 70 model to be amp'd. If you find the p/n's you need, I can get practically anything you need.
Do you know what size speakers your car has now?

They have Kenwood, Sanyo and Audiovox CD playing head units that come with a new gauge bezel. They also have a head unit CD changer combo for your year Vette.
