My 1970 was left parked for a few months. I noticed some rat/mouse turds on the floor boards. Shortly after I have little electrical issues with the car. I have been told I should check all the wiring. So I'm going to take the dash apart.
Anyone have a break down on how to take this apart? Thank you

start with the pasenger side then the center bezel
be real carefull it breaks at the thin part real easy. Then your speedo dash will come out easer you will have to lower your steering shaft. Do you have a manual also the speedo and the tach will need to be released along with the vaccume hose to the head light overide switch. If you don't have the manual get one. note go slow and take pictures of what you do. Its not as hard as it sounds, Does your clock work.

Clock I think does work? LOL I'm going to give this a shot today or at least get started. If you happen to have a part breakdown photo this would be great. I appreciate your help.

also be real carefull around the radio
you also have remove the bolts that hold the stearing at the fire wall and the ones below the dash. this will let the steering move down and give you room to work on the dash. just take your time and you will learn a lot. you may want to loosen the rag joint it does not like to be stressed very much. remenber this will turn into a. While Im at it job

I just did my 71 to change the dash speakers and install an inline temp guage variable resistor. the above ideas work great but stress being careful with the center section near the top. mine is broken and they arent cheap! Alsoall those little guages, lights and previous owners electrical tape hazards should be repaired while you are there
