F/S $13,000 - Torch Red 1998 C-5 Convertible, Great Shape, New Leather - $13,000
I recently bought a C-6 and only have a one car garage at this apt., so this C-5 has to be sold. For this fun in the sun convertible, I am asking $13,000 which is reasonable price below NADA and Kelley Blue Book. I paid $22,500 almost 3 yrs ago and got my money's worth of enjoyment out of it. This would be an excellent first corvette for someone; Birthday or one heck of a Valentines Day Gift.

Now let me tell you about this Corvette. I bought this car almost 3 yrs ago and when I bought the car the mileage was 80,084 and over the last almost 3 yrs have put on an additional 33,000 miles, bring the total odometer reading to 113,300. This is less than 10,000 miles per year.

This Corvette has been 100% garage kept in CO and CA since I bought it in Feb 2007.

Here is my opinion of the over-all Excellent condition of this car:

• Top - Excellent, clear glass rear window and no tears in the fabric
• Paint - Excellent eye catching luster (see pictures), does have minor paint chips expected with a car of this age, but they are very minor by comparison.
• Body - Excellent, No cracks
• Mileage - Excellent – 28+ mpg when driven from Colorado to California (1200 miles).
• Wheels and tires - Excellent and Good: Wheels are after market chrome Z06 corvette wheels with no rust, blemishes or curb rash. Tires: Front – New 6 months ago; Rear - would probably need changing in the next 15-20K miles, but I only drive 14 miles a day to and from work, so they are not a issue for me right now.
• Interior - Good shape – New Leather Seats 4 months ago

My wife wanted this car when I moved up to a C-6, so I maintained it with the intent of putting the most important thing in my life in it. She told me to put it for sale, but if it doesn’t sell, put it in the garage and give her the keys.

I'm more than happy to answer any questions you might have about this car, but I'm not a mechanic or a Corvette expert. I've had 2, C-3s and 2, C-4s and 1, C-5 and now a C-6 over the last 30 years. I just love having, polishing and shining, feeling the power and hearing the Varoooooom when cruising Corvettes. This car will put a smile on a new proud owners face, just like it did mine for the last few year.

The car is licensed in Colorado, but I took it to the local chevy dealer and they pulled a GM inquiry on it to verify the smog equipment and it has everything and they said it should pass CA smog with no problem.

I'm a consultant, so the car is currently located in Redondo Beach CA.

This car is in excellent condition and is for sale in: “As Is Condition”. I'm sorry, but I don't see where to upload pictures but if you will click on My Gallery over to the left under the picture you will see the interior new seats and a full side shot.
God Bless,
rick

SOLD !!! Thanks everyone for the comments and questions. Guy and his wife drove about two hours to look at it. He spend about an hour under the hood and all over it; about a zillion questions about maintenance plus any add on things, we then took a 20 min test drive. There was no question that he wanted the car, then the old horse trading talk began. Back and forth then Back and forth, you know the drill. As soon as I mentioned, "Well your Bank...", he said Oh! I'm sorry I guess I forgot to mention I was talking cash right now, and he produced a bulky sock of $100 bills. The rest is history, him a property manager in his 50's, with corvettes in his history and me in my '60's who will only own a corvettes as long as I have a driver's license, both clearly in love with America's only True Sports Car!
