OK I have some 6.5 infinitys coming to replace my stock speakers in the doors and rear of my C5.
1) Ive been told I need to rewire the speakers to avoid the stock amp...I thought I read some where you didnt need to..so whats true?..lol

2) Where is the stock amp located, or is there a seperate one for each speaker?

3) Has anyone rewired their speakers already and have any tips to doing it?

Thanks for any help.

That depends on the impedence of your infinity speakers. In most cases you will have to bypass the factory amps. Since there are about 10 wires coming from your Bose amp to the factory front speakers. I find it easier to extend new wires directly from the radio through the door boot and down to new speakers.

The factory amp is above the gas peddle... just run wires from the radio or amp directly to the speakers.
