Is it good to put some of that heat tape on the tranny lines to keep them from getting hot if LT headers are installed? Or is the tolerance high enough to where you don't really have to worry about that stuff?

Not sure about the heat but I think the rubbing would be the main issue. Either way, you would want to try and keep everything away from the headers. Maybe use some heat tape.

I don't have a LT but I protected everything that was close to the headers with either a shield or tape. For me it was easiest to do when I removed the header
