what are some of the big engine problems with the c4 years?

I have owned this '86 C4 for almost 11 years and have had not problem with the motor. The only problem that I have had is dash lights not working and one of my shocks is bad. Considering the car has over 200,000 miles on it. I'm very happy and would easily recommend.

wow ok that makes me happy lol. ive got a 1985 with 73k original miles on it and the engine was rebuilt at 50k. i wasnt sure why it was rebuilt and she had some receipt to show it but they did a good job on rebuilding it.

The only problem I have is a oil leak, I think it's coming out of the intake gasket at the rear of the block. Other than that no other problems.

for an 85 the main problem is the LCD gauges going out or geting sun spots

Dash panel lights, headlight motors, injectors - replaced all on my 88 at 100,000 miles.
