I have two Delco Bose head units out of an '84 for sale. One works but had some kind of minor problem, I think the numbers on the clock didn't always work or something. The other one was sent off to be totally reconditioned and then was used but not for very long. Everything on it works.
Also out of the same '84 I have the two Delco Bose door speakers by themselves, and the rear speakers with the box things they were mounted in when they were in the car. If you're interested in anything let me know. Ask a price and we'll negotiate from there.

I am interested in the speakers, how much do you want?

I don't really know, how much would you be willing to give for them? I'll have to look around and see what used ones are going for and probably go a little less than that. Let me know what you think though and we can go from there.

Do you know if they are the same fit and finish as an 86 coupe? I would want the grills and cases, speakers and amps, and expect everything to mount into my car. Any idea if that is possible? If the good radio was the same as an 86 I am interested in that too.
Is that 6 speakers, including the two in the dash pad, or just the doors and the rears. Lets find out what you have got and then we will try to negotiate a price.

The head unit will fit fine, they're the same one. As for the speakers there are only four. The front two are the speakers only, no amps or boxes. The rear speakers are the entire unit: the speaker, amp and box. None of them have the covers though I left those in the car to retain the stock look. All four speakers worked when I took them out though and have no reason not to still work.

Have you decided on a price yet? If the radio works and is the factory fit and the four speakers are all good I am interested still. My 86 had speakers under the dash, but they were after markets that were just laying there. Did the cars come with dash mounted speakers? Something tells me that mine did not, it might have been standard with a Bose radio to have six speakers but my car probably came with the Delco radio and just four speakers.

As far as the dash speakers, I know the Bose system didn't come with them. I don't know if the alternative did but my parent's '84 was the one I took these speakers out of and it was just the two rear and two doors, although for the aftermarket stereo that I put in it I added the dash pair so it did have six. I'll have to talk to my dad and see what he wants for the stuff since it's from their car but I'll let you know. You have any idea of what a good price on your end might be?

I am still working on my 86, what did you decide on the radio and speakers? I probably should just give up and use the speakers that are in the car, but find a radio that fits into the dash properly.

Well as far as the speakers you've got are concerned, as long as they all work I'd probably just stick with those, I don't know that these would be any better unless any of yours have any type of damage from water or whatever. They're just stock Bose out of an '84 so they wouldn't be any better than what you've got. As far as the radios, are you wanting to buy both or just one? I'd like to sell both if I can, possibly for around $150 for the pair, or as a starting price for negotiations. The speakers probably about $100 for all four, which is the complete rear pair, and front which is speakers only. No amps or housings, but they ought to be a direct replacement if you take the others out of their housing. I was gonna take the whole front housings out like the rear, but it would have required taking off the door panel as well as a metal panel under that which was more than I wanted to work with at the time.
Let me know what you think and name a different price if that seems high, and also make sure your car is the Bose and not just the regular radio. On the two I've got they're both Bose and both work, but one has a real minor problem, I think maybe the digital clock display didn't work all the time, or only worked after it warmed up a couple minutes or something. It wasn't anything major though. The other one should work completely, it was sent off and refurbished or whatever they do to them and not used for very long after that.
