My cars temp went up to almost 230 today I pulled over just out side from my school and opened the hood and noticed that the fan was not running??? My father is coming over at his lunch break to pick up the car and I was hoping to get some feed back on what could be wrong or how can we trouble shoot the fan not working? If the fan isn't working would there be any other reason why the car could get so hot?

You will want to see if power is still getting to the fan and then if it is then see if the fan motor is still operable. That is where I would start out!

First try grounding the wire on the fan sensor(Fan switch/relay/fan motor/fan motor wiring). If that doesnt work swap the fuel pump relay with the fan relay(fan relay/relay wiring/fan motor). If that doesnt work try removing the relay and strapping the supply/output wires(fan/fan to relay wiring). If that doesnt work get two wires and hot wire the fan(fan motor).

I'm in a rental right now. I didn't want to chance anything. When I get home I will check on those things that you pointed out. I soooo appreciate your help!
