When I unlock the car via remote the lights come on however they don't come on when I open the doors.
Also, this just started happening recently where the radio would not shut off when I opened the doors like it used to.
My friend that worked for the local dealership said that it sounded like my BCM, yet he couldn't confirm that. What should I do at this point?

Sounds like a programing issue.

Check for a short or if your friend is good and knows his stuff then you may have to replace your BCM.
