My Vararam has been installed now and didn't come with instructions. Someone was just telling me I should oil the filter? Is this correct?

Yes you want to oil the filter before installing, this prevents dust from getting into your motor.

I would let it "drip dry" for a couple hours after you oil it so that if you over oil it (all too common) that the oil won't make it's way to the MAF and cause issues.

If it didnt have instructions it may not have the oil with it either, you can't use just any oil. Head down to a local parts store and pick up a K&N oil/cleaner kit and use that if none came with your Vararam...

And like stated don't OVER oil it...!

Good point about the oil. Mobil 1 isn't the correct choice in this case!

You really want to make sure you have it oiled as manufacture suggest. I'm a RC freak and you need to put oil on the filters for these things. If you don't dirt and dust WILL get in the motors and mess them up. I bet the same rule applies for the Vettes.
