New Vette owner here, and have a 2004 with 23,000 miles. My brakes are squeeking and I would like to give it a little upgrade in the braking deptartment? I had a SUV prior to this and never paid attention as to what parts I put into it, with this Vette, I'm being a little bit protective! Any advice would be appreciated.

LOL I can understand that... I hope you don't ahvean Expedition! My brakes are horrid to work on in that thing!

Anyway, the stock brakes are actually excellent brakes for street and occasional track use (very occasional). They may be squeeling because they are telling you that they need replaced. I recommend Hawk brake pads and getting the fluid out of the calipers. If brake dust is a big concern get ceramic pads...

IMO Most Drilled and Slotted rotors are for show. Hopefully some of our Racing guys will chime on D&S's. I like the looks of em but am still on the fence, I might get back into occasional track time again...
