I have a 6-speed standard shift 1991 vette. When I shift the tach pegs and then drops between shifts, but at speed it stays pegged. Any ideas?

Have you checked the wire going to the distributor to make sure that it is not getting grounded or also that it is properly connected. Just a thought and a place to start.
