I'm thinking about installing a dual air intake on my 2002 Corvette and I'm looking for some input from those that have already added to their cars.
Do they really improve the horse power enough to justify the cost and are there good systems to concider and bad systems to stay away from?
Thanks

You're going to get alot of "biased" opinion on this, like asking what is the best tasting beer.

The dual snorkle types are pretty far down on the list as a good alternative for a CAI. Honker, Vararam, Blackwing, Haltech, are the most popular and rightfully so and interestingly enough, IMO their price is how the come out in performance rankings ie most exspensive performing the best...

If money is not a consideration I highly recommend the Callaway Honker, if you want to save money you can mod up a great CAI yourself.

Personally I went with the Hurricane, you don't hear much about it but it's a damn nice setup.

Speaking of "biased" opinions ( tstar) my vote is saying go with a Vararam. Its not a dual cone but IMHO better. Good luck!

:iagree: MUCH better then those dual cone things that sit on top of the shroud. If you ask me those are a WAI (Warm Air Intake)!

I have a Vararam but don't believe the 3/10ths in the 1/4 BS hype on a stock motor.:thud:

Now how about throwing in a power coupling and a Granatelli
mass air flow sensor and a HI-Flow throttle body. How much more will you get with these.:p

You'll notice your throttle being more responsive is about all IMO, the stock cam doesn't really have the duration to benifit from making the intake "system" any larger...

I'd like to hear a more expert opinion though!
