I'm looking to buy a set of 68 rally wheels (7 inch ) from a local guy which have codes K 11 8 on one side of the valve stem and AG on the other side which have a 4 1/4 backset but I don't know if they will clear the e-brake bracket with the 4 1/4 backset. My original spare wheel has codes K 1 8 on one side of valve stem and AG on the other side but only has a 3 3/4 backset. Why the different backset ? Will the wheels that this guy has clear with 245 60R 15 tires ?

Remeber, Some people will pass off camaro rallys as vette wheels. The back spacing needs to be 4". Both rallys are offered 15x7 and 15x8. Corvettes had 15x7's until around 68 or 69, then was changed to 15x8 after that and stayed with that wide of wheel.
With the rallys, if you have a 4" back spacing your tires "should" work. I'm running 15x9 with a 3 3/4 back spacing with 255/60/15 and mine fit great.

I have a set of aftermarket 8 inch with a back spacing of 4 1/4 and they rub. I think i need a 3 3/4 like my original spare wheel but I would like to run an 8 inch wheel, but I can't find one with a 3 3/4 backspace. What I need to know is , what is the GM 8 inch back spacing, 3 3/4 or 4 1/4. Does anyone have a set for sale in pennsylvania with a 3 3/4 backspace ?

The ORG GM rallys had a 4" back space. Found a set of original GM 8 inch with the 4 inch backset. They worked but I still had to grind a little off of the top part of the right side e-brake bracket.
