Hello All,
After driving to the gym today, my vette (98 Convertible, 40K miles) was fine. I stopped to grab a bite to eat. When I left, I started the car and the service engine soon light came on, the ABS light is on. It says low fuiel (tank is full) but the gauge is bottomed out. The traction control light is on, the windows won't go down. I can't control the side mirrors. Dash says reduced engine power. :wtf: The car was driving fine with all this going on. I did have Tweeter install a remote start about a month ago. Any ideas ????????? Thank you in advance.

Gary

Got it to start. I disconnected and reconnected the battery and it seems fine. None of the problems that were there are showing up now. I'll take it to a Chevy dealer on Monday.

Mine will also show the low fuel while there is a full tank every so often. I just turn the ignition off, then restart it and it works fine.

For your fuel gauge readings getting wacky it's typically crud building up on the in-tank sending unit. A couple of tanks with Techron or Sea Foam should clear that up. Try and use a Top Tier fuel company...

gstyc - It sounds like you have a weak battery or loose connection at the battery. Perhaps from the remote starter install... Let us know if you continue having problems.

Thanks Tim... It is strange, that after I disconnected & reconnected the neg battery cable everything is working fine. There didn't seem to be any loose connections. I'm going to take it back to Tweeter and have them check all of the connections they made, then take it to the dealer to have it checked as well.
