This summer I may just see what kind of bites and price Vettes are going for. I think with the economy showing signs of recovery the value of cars should move in a positive manner.:thumbsup3:

But so will the price of a C5. Can't win for losing. :DeadHorse::DeadHorse:

If you can afford to get the C5 now without having to sell or trade your C4 I'd do that, with winter here prices are pretty good since many don't like driving them this time of year. Then sell the C4 next spring when it starts to warm up. One note on the C5s and C6s, if you like to work on the car yourself then I'd stick with the C4. They started using 'angel hair' wiring on the newer ones which I heard can't be spliced or repaired like normal wiring. If you pull one too hard and damage it or accidentally cut it you have to replace the whole wire instead of just splicing it back together. I'd still like a C5 or C6 myself though. Just look for an all original, low mileage one that's been babied so it's like new and you don't have to worry about what's been messed with that could go wrong.

I like the C4's. Everyone thinks they're slow, but they weigh slightly more than a Z06 and with the right mods will hang with one. They're also hands down one of the best bang for your buck track cars out there. My brother in law is really into track car racing, he bought a book on it and the author praised them for their handling abilities and possible power to weight ratio.

The fastest car i ever seen on pinks was a 95 c4 with a 350 would pull wheel stands the whole 1/4 mile it finished 2nd to a car the guy said had 90k of work to the drive trane the only reason it lost because the wheelie bar wasent working.. lol

I wish they had been able to pull off the 454 ZR-2 in the late 80s. The only thing that stopped them was the stupid CAFE regulations. With that in production and the right mods that thing could've been awesome and outrun any newer Vette. Except the C6 ZR1 of course. Oh well I still like the C4s the best too.
