Newbie here - I have narrowed the search to 96s and find 3 Collectors Editions locally. Im only looking for a very clean daily driver and am worried about getting a run out car thats been "cloned" say into a Collectors Edition. Any ideas to identify a genuine factory car - is the LT-4 the only engine in "CEs", vin would be a tip off to that, any other options that would be found on those editions that would set them apart? Also been all over articles on history of the C-4 and and find some conflicting info. - are C-4s still fiberglass, do they have side air-bags, is the selectible suspension option still found on 96s. One of them has a Greenwood package - is that a good/bad item. Thanks a lot for any help I can get.

Its hard to miss all the marks for a collectors edition, unless someone really wants to clone! Its all over my car, just run the vin through carfax. should get an idea of what you are getting first!

Check to see if the sticker is still in the passenger compartment behind the passenger seat, under the carpet.
It should have a list of your options.

C4 is plastic, Hood is mostly fiberglass, greenwood package I would say no.No side airbags,

Thanks Joe - found it just like you said. Tried out a 96 LT-4 today and it was a big help.
