Does the front bumper have to be removed to install new skid plate??
Are there any diagrams that break down the area of the skid plates/hardware out there?
Goodtimes! 01-02-2010, 06:04 AM the front bumper does not have to come off to do this, I don't have a diagram though.

Hi,
You might want to intall a pair of Fangs to
protect you new skid plates. Here is a link to a couple videos of us trying to thrash them.

I have the Fatt Mammas and they are even better. 2 wheels on each skid plate.

Now that second video is really good to see how those work! Great looking product, I have had fat daddys for a while but I think I may give the Fangs a shot here shortly.
Huskyhulk 09-23-2010, 05:28 AM That was a good video, they definetely work!
Raydawg357 09-23-2010, 11:58 AM Here's a better pic of the Fatt Mommas
clayshooter 09-23-2010, 02:41 PM I took mine off and cut out the damaged tubeing and rewelded 1/4 inch plate backin it's place. Got $5 bucks in steel ,$3 dollars in paint and my time . And that's a whole lot better than $370 for a new one that will end up the same way as the old one

Hi,
Those videos are just a small sample of how much testing and thrashing we have done to Fangs. We feel they are the best protection on the market. They protect the skid plate from front to back and you only loose 1/8 inch of ground clearance. If you pull up to a curb or parking block that hits the very front highest point of the skid plate it will just slide right up protecting all the way to the back. And no horrible scraping sound.
corvetteenvy 09-25-2010, 05:45 AM Pretty strong stuff!
