I am reposting this question because there were no answers from anyone who understood the question. I have a 98 convertible that has low mileage and has been kept indoors under a car cover it's entire life. This is not a question of age or a question of how to put the top up. Here is the question. When parking my car with the top up. I close the doors and the windows do not go under the rear corners of the convertible top. I feel like it is an adjustment problem. Has anyone had this problem and if so how was it fixed?
Thanks to the previous people who "attempted" to answer the question. Quick is not always good.
Not much help here, I just got a Vette myself, but I just when out and looked at mine, it's a 99 convertible and the windows do go just under the top in the top back corner. Real tight fit.
With that said could your window or door be out of adjustment??

Another new owner here with the same problem on the driver's side. My solution so far is to keep the window about 1/8" down from the upper limit. Does anyone know if the window regulator limit can be adjusted? BTW, it's a 2000 convertible, and I'm planning on replacing the top this spring. Thanks in advance for any help.

It sounds like you all need to adjust your tops. Follow the instructions at this site (http://www.c5forum.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi/topic/1/2213.html).

David,
This is a adjustment issue, I own a 99' FRC and I had a driver side window issue (My post-Floppy window). If you don't own service manuals, I suggest looking on e-bay for a used set, a helpful reference source to problems. As to your window, you have three adjustment bolts/nuts in the door ( two on top side , one on the bottom of the door) allows you several movements of that window and it requires taking the door panel off (putty knife). It's pretty simple if you just study what each one does. I wish I could provide more detail but I'm assuming that you have mechanical experience. After studying how the window track operates and adjusts you should be able to resolve your issue in about an hour or so. Please refer to my "Floppy window" post and read some of the quotes sent to me, some gave me a good start on the window problem, Good Luck!! PM me if necessary !!

I also agree with Junkman's reply that you try to do a adjustment on your top first before doing the door panel, which I forgot to put in my earlier reply!!

I saved it to my favorites and will do this soon. Thanks to everyone else who offered help also. This is exactly why I joined this forum.
