Some little time ago, I reported a noisy window raising/lowering mechanism. The window has now "locked" in a part way down position. I was able to remove the interior door panel and speaker to look at the problem area. The window raising/lowering appears to be contolled by a wire cable system running around pulleys at the top and bottom of both the front and rear of the door. The cable to the rear upper pulley has slipped off the pulley and is unravelling. Obviously I need to replace the cable. Now for the questions, please:
1. Do all cables need to be repalced - do they come as a "package" or can I just buy the defective one?
2. Can anyone tell me the details of how to go about the replacing process.
3. Best of all, is there a link to the 2002 Corvette "shop manual" that will show me the full procedure including the after installation adjustments, any special tools required, etc?

I would be most grateful for any help, please.

you can "rethread the cable but it will fail again
just get a new regulator off ebay
I can change them in about 30 minutes
it's easy

I have a set of 01 manuals that I can look in and if it shows something I could scan it and email it to you. I also have a CD that I bought and could print something off from it, not sure how much difference an 01 and 02 might have. Just let me know if you want me to check.

Hi Russell,
I am sure that the 01 and 02 are similar if not identical. I would be most grateful for any information from your manual or CD that could help, especially any "exploded drawings" of the winding system and "removal/replacement" instructions. This "quick reply" system will not let me post my E-Mail address. Perhaps you could post yours so that I can make direct contact, please? And many thanks for your kind help.
