Just make sure that atleast 2 of the big three are good. (engine, body and interior) If atleast 2 are in great shape then go for it and have some fun!

Should the vette come from a "good home", prev. owner gave TLC etc, normally bodes well for purchase. Other than that I would have $2000/$2500 set aside or at least plan on spending that over the next year. Does it ride and drive as it should, has another car guy or motor head looked at it with you, better yet pay a shop to check all mechanics, this small investment will save you $$$(pain). I would not expect to get away without spending some $$, think I remember someone somewhere saying something about an ounce of prevention. I've owned 11 Corvettes non were pain free but all deleivered more joy and pleasure than pain. Go have some fun!

I should have mentioned in prev. post that when speaking of no Corvette without pain$, its not only used models, here are a couple of the new Corvettes: 1969 cpe motor fried with 92 miles covered under warranty, 1970 had hidden body damage nose&fenders had been cracked prior to taking del. w/6miles and was not discovered until I had car for a year, now that was really "tough oats", the 1968 cpe was fault of driver, found a utility pole in wee hours(did you know that if you hit a stationary object under full throttle in 2nd gear w/68 model and headlights up they will keep on traveling when you don't (OUCH).

Thanks for the input guys, I appreciate it! Yes, I am taking my "motor-head" friend along to check it out this weekend and if all goes well... I'll drive her home! :) I've already been looking for mods to spice it up. Any suggestions on first mods and gears? Thanks!
