How much noise will one of these kits cut down? I have found a few different kits like this and finally just about ready to pull the trigger. Plus it makes a good winter project. Are there any tricky parts to the install?
Main question- Did your carpet when put back into the car, fit as tight and didn't move around?
Thanks for the help

I put aluminum backed insulation in mine. I thought it was easy. I noticed a considerable difference in noise levels and the tranny tunnel didn't feel as hot. No problems with the carpet not fitting. The key thing is to carefully trim around things and not let the insulation bunch up.
Take your time and make sure everything fits. I bought the insulation at Lowes, but you can get special kits from Mid America and others. It was inexpensive and works really well.

It's that time of the year. I was thinking about doing the same with mine. Need to get the motivation first! :happy0045:

I installed the Madvette kit and have been very pleased with the results.
It took away allot of the road and tire noise. Also the tunnel area seems cooler.
As for the carpet fit. Everything fit back in with no issues.
I did the complete car, door panels, floor everything.
Now I don't have to crank the radio to hear it, can use my cell phone, and you can actually carry on a conversation with your passenger on a concrete highway.
You need the better part of the day for this mod but it's worth it.
