What makes 1968 parts different than 1969-. It seems the car is basically identical, but all the parts have unique part numbers.

First year of the C3, just like my buddy who has a 2005 and alot of the parts for the '05 will fit only '05.

Key in dash, push buttons on doors, all red taillights with backup lights in panel under rear bumpers, no stingray emblems even though they were refered to as a stingray in 1968 corvette literature, no map pocket on dash and the last year for the 327 engine ,and a few other small differences. Basically though , 68 and 69 are the same car.

From what I understand the door panels are another difference from later models.
