Midyears were designed originally around 6.70-15 tires on 5-1/2" rims, and are very intolerant of wider rims, tires, or negative offset wheels. 15" rims wider than 6" or tires larger than 215/70-15 run the risk of fiberglass damage, especially on the front at full steering lock and suspension compression (like turning into a driveway).
