My AC stoped working a couple years ago. When I had my car checked out for high engine temps last year they also told me that I need a new AC compressor.
I have shopped around a little and can only find new ones for about $540. Is there a company that either sells these refurbished or is there a company that will rebuilds ac compressors for less?
Thank you.

whoa who's pricing your parts? I just did a quick check on rock auto and its $167-$255 for the whole compressor. Thats with the core charge. A compressor isnt difficult to install. 3 hours MAX. Do it yourself and pay a shop to recharge the freon. You might also try the notorious mcbunch method. Since its not making you go any faster just remove all the AC equipment. When its hot take the roof off. lol

I have never heard of this company before. That lilttle price comparison they have on their home page is pretty impressive. Thanks!
