Thinking about installing a CAI sysytem on my 2007 Z06. Looking at the K/N system. Any other CAI out there that perform better?

There are lots of intakes out there and I can tell you they all dyno within a few hp of one another. What the mane difference is in my opinion is how well it performs on the street. We have tested them all on the dyno, track, and the street. The intake we use at the shop after all of our testing is the Callaway CAI - It gets down to ambient temp faster than ANY other CAI on the market and looks like a factory piece. The Killer Bee is probably the most popular, but our least favorite, The IAT temps do not come back down to ambient for a while(No matter what they say) I have plenty of logs. You run into the same problem with K&N. The Vararam will make the most power at speeds on the street, but it has crappy craftsmanship.

Yes you can. You just need a rivet gun. Other than that it is a straight forward install. You should pickup 12-15 rwhp. Same as all of them.

Very first mod I did to my 2008 CZ was a K&N CAI, I am really happy with the results. I noticed quite a bit more throttle responsiveness and the "roar" of the incoming air is nice too. Honestly it's difficult to notice 10 or so horsepower at the upper RPM range, but it did appear to climb the rev range a bit easier due to the lack of restriction from the OEM filter.
Probably enjoy the Borla more though...

Is a retune needed for any of the afformentioned CAI?
