Has anyone had issues with getting all the air out of the system after flushing the brake system? I decided to flush the brake fluid in my '05 and can't seem to get the brake petal firm again. When I start rolling the car out of the garage and hit the brake it just feels soft. I have checked all the fittings and everything is tight. I'm using one of those one man brake bleeding kits.
Let me know if you have had similar issues or you know what might be wrong. Thanks everyone.

If your brake pedal is spongy, you have air in the system. Have you tried gravity bleeding them? Just take the lid off the master cylinder and open a bleeder valve (the furthest one away). When it's running freely, close it off and go to the next one. And so on. And keep the master cylinder's reserviour near full while you're bleeding them. Gravity bleeding is slower for sure, but it works fine.

I'm guessing you don't have a tech 2 to modulate the ABS. So fire the car up and bleed the brakes with the car running.

When I did mine I actually thought the bleeding process was a slam dunk, no issues. I've heard master cylinders going bad and giving that spongy feeling.
