My other battery wasn't cutting it and you could tell was on its way out the door. So I went to autozone and picked up a new battery. Installed the battery myself and cleaned the terminals. This is my weekend car and I go to start yesterday and the car wouldn't start? And now its showing low voltage?? How can you track where this power is being drained?

Did you drive the car at all after installing the battery? If not it could have had a low to nominal charge (not full charge) and simply needs to be fully charged. Or you could just have a bad cell in your new battery. AutoZone can/should check the new battery for you and replace it if it has a bad cell.

You have any audio equipment? Things plugged in 12V?

could be a couple things like what Doug said but also your alternator might not be charging at it's full capacity. Just check all your potential problem areas and go from there. If it turns out to be the battery than Auto Zone will give you a new one.

I had a similar problem with my weekend driver so I installed a battery tender. They cost around $50 and are simple to install.

I have read some post about cell phone chargers left in draining batteries? Not sure how accurate other than I've read a few post on the subject. I would look at the orginal charge of battery first.

Thanks everyone it was the alternator that was bad. So this is fixed and I just posted another question! Brakes may be going or the master cylinder? :willy_nilly: :leaving:
