During my own project of installing the HSR in place of my Xram I found myself helping someone else out on another forum. I wanted to post this information here as well in hopes that maybe it will help someone else out in the future.

First here is why it won't fit

The TB hits the hood where it slopes down

I removed the TB and Closed the hood. I found that you could fit a pencil between the plenum and hood

I then took 2- 1/2 in wide nuts and placed between the TB and plenum. Nothing in the bottom allowing a slope of the TB

Here we go.

Made a wooden template. 1/2" wide on top and 1/4" on bottom. 2 top bolts went in about 3 threads so I would suggest longer bolts. I didn't ream out any of the bolts holes but you may need to to ensure they go in nice and straight.

Another suggestion would be to grind down the fins on the plenum. From the pencil forward

View of the drivers side- nothing seemed to interfere. Linkage didn't hit, t-stat housing is fine, TB has a slight angle downwards

Close the hood

The Results- Pencil is placed between the TB and Hood

I am not taking anything apart in case you guys need some measurements.

*I reserve the rights to the angled TB spacer that is about to produced.... LOL. I'm thinking of going to my local machine shop and having him make one just for the heck of it.* I'll sell them on ebay!

I meet with my local shop today. We are going to go ahead and make 5 of these spacers out of aluminum. They will be CNC'd.Hardest part is the angle on them. I had to go with 5 in order to get them to make me one. So if anyone is interested I will have some extras. Just PM me and I'll let you know how much I'm paying for them.

great pics on an awesome build-up. Before I decided to go the LS route I did some research on the HSR if you decide to go with this and haven't bought bought your HSR yet take a look at this link http://www.usmracer.com/Holley-Stealth-Ram-C4-L98-Version_p_2624.html
it's already modified to fit our C4's. If you already have your HSR purchased then slrvette's spacers are definately the way to go.

thats a nice product just expensive as hell. this spacer I made is running $130 ea. Little high for the first round but should come down in price. So the HSR cost with fuel rail and spacer is about $730 vs $1100 so in the end theres a $400 savings... thats a lot of beer!

I bet you do after seeing some of the work on your car! Ushers is doing it for me. They're running it through the CNC machine. After the first one is made were gonna check it for fitment. Once confirmed they are gonna make me additional ones in case anyone else is looking for one. Plus they wouldn't do it with only one.

Yep,most CNC guys will only do a run of parts due to programing, set up etc.

:iagree::iagree::iagree: Definately a large amount of beer and a very good price on your spacer. Can't wait to see the numbers you put down. if you don't mind me askin what else is done with your engine?

ITS TOP SECRET!!!:smilielol5:
PeteK 9.5 in 2500 Stall
D44 with 3:45's
Headers
Borla Mufflers
1.6rr's
Dart ss Heads
2040 cam

Old intake
Xram, 2 inch TB's, 90lb injectors

LT1 fuel pump
EBL/Flash ECM
Nitto 555R drag radials

I think thats it.
Before I add my other heads/cam etc, I need to get the HSR done and get some E.T's to compare with the old intake...
