Hay Pat, long time no hear, wassssuppp???

I been buzzy working on my engine this winter, cut hell outta a LT1 manifold to fit it to my #113 headed roller engine....it runs well enough....

but my raggedy assed idle still plagues it...but at least I can get to the injectors now, unlike that monster L98 setup, I did it for the simplicity, and to get me through winter boredom.....

That car is swweeeeettttt! Very nice job. Thats how I hope mine will look soon. Just got mine a few years back and it has a ways to go but I still love my shark. I dreamed of having one since I was a kid. Right now I am praying I do not need a new head gasket. I would rather dick around with the cosmetics but that is the price you pay for having an all original 1976 car. It appears to blow a bit of white (I think) smoke on startup, but only on start up. It does this every time. Head gasket could be beginning to go on me. It runs a bit rich too. So I guess I should run a few tests on her before we peel it apart.

Newbie here from south eastern Michigan. 1975 convertible with 21k original miles, had 17k when I got it in 2000. Not restored yet, mostly original paint (except where I blended for new bumpers), original interior, 350/330 crate engine (original in storage), chambered exhaust. I got this 74 a few years ago as my first Corvette after wanting one for a long time. It took a long time to find exactly what I wanted, a 4-spd with factory a/c, but manual windows. Here are the befores:

And the durings, as this appears to be a ongoing project!

Yep, on e-bay. They send both styles, with the new font and the old, so if you screw up 1, you sort of have a spare. I took off the needles to do mine, and it took a while to get the reading correct again. If you can leave the needles on. Good Luck!

Mine is '69 Daytona Yellow coupe that I've owned since it was new. It's a numbers matching 350/350 4-speed with black leather, air, zip windows, and tilt/telescopic. The engine was modified to LT-1 specs and Hookers with sidepipes. It rides on American Vector Wheels. Also installed a big block hood. (Some pictures have been posted in the C3 Photo section.

I'm Caterina. I have a 1982 Corvette. I took my Vette to his first car show on September 19, and he earned a first-place trophy. Happiest day of my life! I intend to post pics soon. Haven't posted in while at all because I've been so busy with work (I'm a teacher), but I do go on the site every day and read the posts. My Vette is currently at the "work garage" where the entire suspension will be re-done and the steering column will be rebuilt. I won't drive him again until spring. :((

We are both lucky to have a C3 & C5 to play with. My C3 gets garaged for the winter but my C5 stays out under a cover and when the roads are dry out it comes. Had it out last Sunday (Jan 30) for a couple of hours, then filled her back up and under the cover to the next sunny day.

Yes you are luckier, my nephew's call my C3 the Batmobile. I let them pick which car they want to go out in on their birthdays and it is always the C3.
I like the C3 better but I think it is because as a kid that was what a Vette looked like. I liked the dash on my 1976 better than the 1980 but the front & rear bumper of the 1980 I like better than the 1976 style.
But the performance of the C5 is breath taking.

78 in Northern Minnesota. Years and Years of neglected maintenance on it. Bought it in Aug 10. Currently sitting on jackstands in a heatable stall in the barn waiting for me to get off my butt and replace the rear spring, parking brakes and take the 3.08 diff out that is leaking at all the seals and replace it with a 3.55 that is sitting on the bench ready to go in. Then its fix/replace cruise control and heater/AC vacuum line leak. Then fix the vacuum lines that were disconnected at the vapor canister. Then .........

Be awhile before it is right. But with 30 inches of snow on the ground, -35 degrees last night and another snowstorm comming this weekend, I'll feed the deer and go back inside where it is nice and warm and look through the parts catalogs and get more of what I need fix her up and be ready 1 May.

Out of Virginia Beach, VA, they call me Servo. I've got a red 75 stingray as both my daily driver as well as project car on the weekends. Once I get the electrical, suspension, and steering spruced up I plan on swapping out the transmission and motor for a +400HP crate engine.

For you purists out there, it's a 75, I'm doing it a favor.

Ordered my first new Vette in winter of '72, I waited and waited and finally the truck came in, March of '73. I was custom painting pearls Vettes and Harleys so I ordered it in white, ralley sport package, ac, power windows, power steering and a map light, still have it and I am bringing it back to life from 10 years of storage to give to my daughter, keep it original...we just bought a cherry '96, always wanted a c4..

This 74 was a Fathers Day gift to me from my wife and Kids....Have waited a long time, and now its time to drive...Driven with passion in the Summer. Stored with sadness in the Winter, but hey, gives lots of time to fix things up!!

1978 C3 Red, Dual Carbs engine (looks HOT), not sure what kind, looks a bit different then original from what I have seen... don't know too much about it as I just got this few months ago... still working on a few things here and there... it's drivable but the brakes need some work and the steering system is a bit loose... (any fixing tips PM me plz!) It's no SHOW car as they say... :) but I LOVE IT!

Bo from Jacksonville, AR checking in with a '76 Stingray driving restoration.

I know that my pic is an '08 but I couldn't afford it after I retired from the Air Force. After a couple of trade off's I ended up with my current '76, title in hand, that isn't going away any time soon.
