I recently had fuel pump problems with my 1988 Corvette. I found some grounding issues around the fuel pump metering module. So, I went to my Chevrolet dealer to see if they could sell me a replacement wiring harness with the metering module attached to it. The parts guy looked it up and said it was a one year only application and they discontinued making the unit. Is there anyone out there who has had a similar problem with an 88 vet. Please let me know what I can do to remedy this problem. Do I need this metering module to make the car run properly?:kngt:

What is a fuel pump metering module?
The fuel pump is operated by the fuel pump relay and a oil pressure switch in the block. They are wired in parallel so either can run the pump.
The relay is operated by the computer and the oil pressure switch by the engine oil pressure ( obviously) when it is higher than 4 psi.
Nothing else is connected to / or controls the pump

Do you mean the fuel pump module? this would be the pump and sending unit together and it is discontinued from GM. Any grounding problems with it should be easy to fix with out replacing it. Let me know if this is what you mean? I can help you with it.David Steele
