Well Guys & Gals...I'm just about finished with the LED Mods. The only thing left are the Tail/Brake Lights, and Under-The-Hood Accents. I guess I should have waited till it was a little darker to show what I've done so far...next time! I'd like to thank :patriot: "mtdnv8, Big T Machine, and radioflyer97"for their input, guidance and suggestions. LED's were installed in the Side Vents and function as Turn Signals; in the Footwells, Map Lights, Glove Box, Under the Doors (Puddle Lights), Front/Rear Side Markers, Under the Front Lights and LED Flashers behind the Door Reflectors. I'll post more pixs after I take some when it's darker! Again, much thanks goes out to the above SmokinVette Members for their help...without which I'd never have even started the project!

I really like what you did! Do you have trouble with hyperflash with the turn signals?

As of yet, I haven't put LED Bulbs in the Turn Signals "up Front"...the Koreas have the smaller #194 LED's that I used in other places (Side Markers, Glove Box, Hatch, etc), but not the larger #1157 Bulbs. I'll have to order the #1157's off the Web. With the LED's in the Side Vents that act as Turn Signal Indicators, there's no hyperfash and...there shouldn't be! When I do put the #1157's "up front", I'll probably have to get that "harness" I've seen on the Web to prevent those bulbs from hyperflashing. As far a the "rear turn signals", they're "plug & play" replacements to include the entire housing/light assembly with "26 built-in LED's in each housing/light assembly. I checked with the vender on eBay and he said they had "built-in" resistors that are D.O.T. and SAE approved so, I hope when they arrive and I install them they don't hyper-flash. If they do, the harness I mentioned will correct that!

All LED's, wiring, and connectors were purchased locally here in Korea. I found pretty much the same LED's on various Websites and almost bought off the Web when I discovered that the LED's here in Korea, as well as all the LED's I found on the Web were made in China! So, because the prices were cheaper here in Korea, and because I didn't have pay mailing costs, I bought everything for the Mod here.

The only exception which wasn't installed when I took the pictures is the set of 4 Tail Light Housings with LED's and build-in resistors (meets D.O.T. and S.A.E. specs) to prevent hyperflash. These were purchased from ebay for $108 + $25 for Shipping & Handling.

What is the strip length you are using on the doors?

Here's a breakout of what I used:

Under Doors--------------2 Blue LED Rigid Stirps-20" ea

Side Vents-----------------2 Red LED Rigid Strips-2.75" ea

Door Reflectors----------2 Red Flashers with built-in resistors 2.75" /.5" ea I cutout the back of the reflector and inserted the LED Flahsers.

Under Front Lights------2 White Flex Strips-14" ea

Footwell-------------------2 Blue Rigid Strips 10.5" ea

Note: All strips were covered with "clear heatshrink and sealed at the ends with silicone".

I really like them and they're quite a bit less money than others I've seen. The housings are identical to the OEM's and all you have to do is remove the stock bulk and plug in the wires. Note: 2 of the tail lights are wrapped in "Clear Plastic and 2 in Yellow Plasitc". Make sure you install the tail lights wrapped in "Clear Plastic Paper" on the "OUTSIDE". These 2 are "wired" to meet D.O.T. and S.A.E. specs and WILL NOT "HYPERFLASH" if installed on the OUTSIDE. If you install them on the "INSIDE"...they WILL HYPERFLASH! Hope this helps.

They're brighter relative to the stock bulbs but maybe not brighter than a $200-$300 set....but don't know for sure.
