Morning - I'm looking for the best iron heads to put on a 454 that I have installed in my 1976. Interested in the most power I can get and have been looking around at different heads and having some trouble so any help would be appreciated.

Looks like you are doing some serious work on your Vette there! Are you looking for aftermarket heads? If you want extra power, you can just port out your existing heads and get them refreshed with upgraded springs and new valves. There are quite a few options as far as heads go, but this way will save you some money and give you some nice power to boot!

Most manufacturers have cast iron versions of their heads out there so finding a pair shouldnt be difficult. Dart Iron eagles work well for an aggressive street engine. The nice thing about cast Iron is when the engine shells out you usually dont hurt it at all. Had a couple pistons disintegrate from detonation in my 383 at 3500 rpm. Couple sleeves, pistons, rods, and a head job and she was back on the street. Have you picked an rpm range/cam profile/Intake/carb yet? All these have to work together in the same rpm range.
