That's the fastest way to end the friendships of all involved. Bad Idea!
CorvetteDon 11-29-2009, 06:01 AM Only way I could see this working was if the Club was sponsoring a car for an event, or if it was an exterme hardship case where everyone wanted to help out of compassion for their fellow member.:patriot:

The purpose of a car club is to be a social group with a theme (common thread) the ownership/building/repair/ and yes travel centering around a particular type of car/s. Some clubs do a lot of travel, parties etc., while some center around builds and repairs.
In all cases the objective is to HELP, not subsidize the other members. A cash bailout is never a club function. stay away from it. It will not promote the fun and purpose you want.:thumbsup3:

Brian O 11-30-2009, 05:07 PM When ever you get to many people, and money is involved something will go wrong. It does not sound good.:catfight:
highoctane 12-01-2009, 01:37 PM I don't see why it would be a bad idea?
c5alive 12-02-2009, 06:10 AM not me, but I don't think that is that bad of an idea.
njlou 12-02-2009, 01:35 PM Wait a minute!! :beerbang:
I may have been wrong!! i mis read the original premise.

Couldn't have put it better myself! Help is all they should need! Oh yeah don't forget the :beer-fresh:
darren6114 12-02-2009, 03:18 PM The only way I have seen anything like this work is everyone puts in money for a rafle and somthing is rafled off. I have seen that at some big events with lots of cars and turns out well. HOWEVER just giving one person in the club money to do somthing to his car will never work out. What happens when its your turn and somebody can't pay up and you are short changed.
Leave helping other club members to just that, helping then do somthing.
Ieatrice 12-03-2009, 06:23 AM I don't belong to a club but I think if someone is in trouble with $$ or just really needs it and I have a little bit that I could spare, I would.
