In my opinion the six speed is the only way to go! A lot of fun to drive. If you will be spending more time on the open road then get a six speed. If you like top down driving get a convertible, but if you like "more power" get a Z06. Like has been said you cannot get the Z with an automatic. They only came with the manual transmission, m12. I have an 02 Z06 that is my daily driver and it gets about 26 MPG for me on my trip back and forth to work which is a 31 mile trip each way. PassLeft 01-13-2010, 02:35 AM I prefer the 6spd, but the automatic is just as peppy. IMHO, what does make a huge difference in the car is having the performance axle ratio with the AT. The car is much more "responsive".
