I'm looking at the space under this car and thinking about lowering it a bit. Whats the best way to lower these cars?

Trim the wedge in the front and crank down the bolts in the rear. Relatively simple job with common hand tools:cheers:

Any disadvantages from lowering the car?

Im new here on this post but I thought since I was lowering mine right now and have been talking with other about it for sometime I would just drop my 2 cents. I own 95 vert. Everything I have heard is that it will handle better if done right, drawbacks is you will kill alot of ants on the road. You have to watch speed bumps and pot holes more. I figure if it handles better then it already does pot holes are like a road rally just have to be fast and drive around them. LOL:smack:

We lowered it last weekend and have to say it does handle better, almost feels tighter. Glad I did it. Thanks for the help

Sorry bro, I didn't see the question:(

Sure there are. Potholes, Speedbumps, a little stiffer ride, etc.

But...the advantages of handeling, asthetics seem to outweigh the negatives hands down:cheers:

when i bought my C4 almost a year ago it was already lowered ( For cornering and handling purposes YES... it does drive and handle better..YES..... It does make people do a double-take and YES ... Pot holes and speed bumps are a challenge for it you'll have to be more observant of those things now especially the potholes deeper than 3".....( I hit 1 pothole and FUGGED up my cat and air line to the Air pump on the engine ) 400 bucks later , its fixed

Trim the wedge in the front and crank down the bolts in the rear. What does all that mean...how do you trim the wedge and where do you crank down the bolts in the rear....this is all new to me

I lowered mine just a little. I keep hitting the front nose on my driveway as it was. I have one mean lip on my driveway! One reason why personally I couldn't get a new Vette.
