I have on the way a new/used set of Z06 brakes for my C6 that are red in color. I would like to paint them yellow, I seen some kits around to paint the calipers... I was hoping to get some do's and don'ts! ;) Thank you.

* Jack up a corner.
* Remove wheel.
* Spray the assembly with Brake Cleaner.
* Mask off what you don't want painted using masking tape and newspaper.
* For the fronts, apply a light coat of lipstick (or Chapstick) to the raised letters or scrape later with a razor blade.
* Apply spray primer.
* Apply several coats of color paint.
* Let each coat dry about 30 minutes.
* Give the caliper a couple coats of Clearcoat.
* Move on to the next caliper.

Since they are already off of the car I would contact a shop that does powder coating and have them powder coated this will look much better and stand up better! I painted mine on the car with a high heat paint, but if the calipers were already off of the car I would have had them powder coated!
