I have an 80 vette and the head lights wont come up on there own. If I block off one side the other will work, this works 4 both sides. I checked my vaccum lines down to the can and up to lights and if i bypass can and hook up one light it will work but if i hook them both up neither one will raise. Is this common could it be the little activation things between the chambers that raise the lights??? The lights stay up fine and close perfect after you help them up. PLEASE HELP thank you:confused:

the problem might be in the cans. if there's even a tiny hairline crack or fracture in them your head lights won't go up by themselves. I had that problem. but for now you could get your headlights to stay up by pulling a little switch down. it's located under the dash below the steering column. and yes this is a very common problem with corvettes. :)
