I would put the same brand and weight of oil your car originally came with.

Yep Gents & Ladies, Mobil1 came with, but the real reality, in my opinion, is as long as it meets 4718 GM Specification and you use the 5w30 then all is well. Brand faithfulness is a good thing, but don't be afraid your engine will fall apart if you use anything other than Mobil1. I LOVE my 01 coupe and have over 100K on it and it is my Daily Driver and has had 3 different oils in it since I have owned it. (Castrol Synthetic, Royal Purple and Castrol Edge). I personally have settled on a MIX of 4 qts 5w30 Mobil1 & 2 qts of 0w40 Mobil1 and am very pleased with the operation and performance. I top off with the 0w till the next oil change at around 30% on the Oil Life Monitor. We have to be careful not to berate anyone not doing what we do. I love my car and enjoy the heck out of driving it daily. However it makes you happy, then that is the right thing, so long as it meets the 4718 Spec. Remember, A Corvette is still an American automobile at the top of the technology curve when it was made. So drive it!
Enjoy your Vette and Happy Holidays

I don't think it would make any difference if you used any top name brand full synthetic oil 5w-30.
Buy what ever is on sale stay away from additives and chg ur oil every 3000 to 5000 miles and you vette will love you.
