A chrome plated gas cap is about as useful as a chrome plated gas tank.

I am no expert in this area, but I know that most items we like to change or customize were well engineered and tested by some really brilliant engineers.:sm_party:
That said, Is it possible that the chrome gas caps (which i think are actually chrome plated plastic) MAY create a hazard ie spark when removed??? It could be like a capacitor and hold a charge????

Remember, most of the appearance mods we do to our cars aren't noticed by anyone else until/unless you point it out to them. Besides we mod our cars for ourselves, not for others, that's why I never jump on someone else's mods, whether I agree with them or not.

Seems like it would be a waste in my opinion.

We have a guy in our club who replaced his with a flip open chrome type ,looks like an oversized crown on a watch.

Well it will look nice when he gets some fuel!
