what is the best rack and pinion conversion for c3's-i have a 76 and want rid of the steeringbox,slave cylinder mess

That's a lot of money to convert over to something that doesn't work any better than what you've already got. The stock power steering system is about as simple as it gets. I would only consider going to a rack and pinion steering system if my car didn't have power steering in the first place.
