Just brought home the babe, 73 in unbelievable condition, Seller replaced bushings with Polyurethane about 12 years ago. They turned to dust when I had new tires installed. What a Scary ride. Trailer'ed her home. Vet Products gave new bushings, but should I go with the standard rubber instead??

That is a choice your going to have to make. The Poly bushing are better for performance driving and also keep things in-line better for rear wheel alignment. Rubber does an ok job and performes fine, but it will also flex alot more and allow more suspension movement.
It sounds to me like you had a bad set of bushings or they were installed wrong. I have never seen a set of poly bushing turn to powder. I have used poly bushings for years and never had any problems with them.
Personaly i'd go with the poly over the rubber.

Thanks so much, That is where I was tending to go, VPB said they were "1st Generation" and gave me replacements. While I have her apart, I'll replace the shocks and other bushings on rear, even though they are poly and "look" ok.
