I find it best to simply say to a Viper owner " It takes Dodge 10 cylinders to do what a Chevy does with 8". That either gets them really mad or shuts them up.

I am in no way downing the Viper ACR. It is everything I love about a true sports car. No radio, carpet, sound deadening and no freaking cup holders! I even like the big Cessna wing on the back! Basically if it doesn't need to be there it isn't, and I respect Dodge for that. I could only wish Chevy would do the same to the ZR1. But sadly I know General Obama Motors will never do that.

It takes a supercharger on the ZR-1 to not even perform as good as the Viper ACR on the track. My friend's 2008 Viper beats my 2008 Z06 every time even if we switch drivers. Both are stock. It doesn't make sense to say that it takes a Viper 10 cylinders to do what the corvette does in 8. One could say it takes a supercharger on a vette to come close to do what a viper does without one. I like both cars and don't feel a need to put down either one of them. Both are great cars.

Like I said in my original post "It either shuts people up or gets them mad" .It looks like I have gotten some people mad and I am sorry. It is nothing personal, just some friendly joking between car lovers. I love Corvettes but I would not mind owning a Viper or a Supra. You are right. they are all great cars!!!
