When I bought the car it had one of those carpet dash covers, I just removed it and the dash is all faded and cracked? Can this be repaired or is my only option to keep the carpet dash cover on it?

There are a few companies that make direct replacements, try Mid america. I think they have them for your year for around $380 or so (might be off on this).

They really can't be fixed. I have seen people try to fudge them and re-die them and they look ok, but the cracks came back. You have only 3 choices,

1. Put the dash cover back on and call it a day.
2. Buy a new repo from one of the corvette mail order comps.
3. Go and find a good used one off ebay or a vette salvage yard.

I bought a dash cover from a company in atlanta. It covers the complete dash.

Check the parts magazines - I think they all have dash covers. They cost about 1/2 what a new one costs, are a lot less work, and cover the cracked one, looking original. Depending on what you want to accomplish, this might help.

Thanks Art, I'll do that any one that you would recommend over others? I'm not building a factory spec show car, as long as it looks good thats what I care about.
