Doing some searches this morning on places that rebuild or sell ECM's and came across this on KTVZ.com's site about this SUV running over a Corvette!

"A northeast Bend man was without a car Monday after police say a drunk driver drove an SUV right up on top of his prized Corvette.

The accident happened just after 1 a.m. Monday when the car was parked in front of Tyler King's home on Hunters Circle off Cooley Road.

King was relaxing at home watching a late movie when police rang his doorbell. And when he stepped out onto his front porch, he didn't even recognize what was left of his Corvette.

When King walked out to his front porch, he saw an SUV had been driven up the front of his Corvette and came to rest on top of it.

"Tha's like the love of my life right there, it's the only thing I've ever wanted to drive. And now it's gone, because of a drunk driver," said King.

Bend police responded to the scene and said the driver, 18-year old Connor Sawyer, had fled the scene, but the heavy snowfall made it easy to find him.

"The officers that arrived on scene were able to follow some footprints in the snow" to a house down the street, where the driver was taken into custody on DUII and other charges, said Traffic Officer John Beck.

King said his car was pushed more than 30 feet from where it was parked. According to police, even at low speeds, the icy roads can cause major damage.

As for King will do now, he said, "I guess with the insurance, I can get like a rental car, or I guess I can drive my mom's car."

According to police, Sawyer was driving his mother's SUV.

King said his roommate's car was hit while parked weeks earlier in the same spot. He said he is not sure if the insurance will be enough to help him purchase a new car. "

Man that sucks. Is that flames coming out the SUV or just the photo?

And what was a "prized" Corvette doing out in the snow to begin with? :wtf: Prized Vette should have been parked inside safe!
