I have some friends who are completely motor heads that sometimes I can never take serious.

I have heard the term "stroker" brought up many times. What does it mean that a engine is a stroker?

:p

I think what makes a "Stroker" motor is the travel of the pistons is increased to make more torque.

A lotta people love strokers (myself included) because its free power. If your block will clear the oversized crankshaft and it doesnt raise the compression to high for you fuel then why not.
